Carcassonne anniversary edition
Shuffle the other tiles separately, including any tiles from any expansions you want:. A game of Carcassonne is played, one tile at a time, until the tiles have all been placed. If you have meeples in your supply and would like to place them on the tile you just placed, the feature must be unoccupied.
Note that two or more already-occupied features may, through clever tile placement, become one feature. Any complete feature scores after meeples are placed, on the turn it is completed. Completed features score based on their type:.
Farmers work the fields and supply cities with valuable produce. Farmers may now be placed lying down in fields , which are groups of adjacent green area on tiles. Like all other features, you cannot place on a field if another player already controls that field. The River adds a new way to set up and get started! To use the River, place the two-tile starting tile in your play area, and shuffle up the remaining River tiles.
As mentioned earlier, shuffle the two end pieces and place them on the bottom of the stack. Beyond that, play normally, drawing from the River stack instead of the normal stack until all River tiles have been placed.
The Abbot is an additional meeple that can be used in conjunction with the standard game. When placing the Abbot, they may be placed on either a monastery or on the garden feature.
Normal meeples cannot be placed on gardens. This edition includes the tiles from the Carcassonne base game, "The River" mini-expansion with five new river tiles , "The Abbot" mini-expansion, and a new tile "anniversary" mini-expansion. All tiles are adorned with UV-print, with many detailed easter eggs being hidden in the art. Costume stickers are included in case you wish to "dress" your meeples.
Carcassonne: 20th Anniversary Edition is a special edition of Carcassonne to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its Spiel des Jahres win in This edition includes the tiles from the Carcassonne base game, "The River" mini-expansion with five new river tiles , "The Abbot" mini-expansion, and a new tile "anniversary" mini-expansion.
All tiles are adorned with UV-print, with many detailed easter eggs being hidden in the art. The tile might feature a city, a road, a cloister, grassland or some combination thereof, and it must be placed adjacent to tiles that have already been played, in such a way that cities are connected to cities, roads to roads, etcetera.
Having placed a tile, the player can then decide to place one of their meeples on one of the areas on it: on the city as a knight, on the road as a robber, on a cloister as a monk, or on the grass as a farmer. When that area is complete, that meeple scores points for its owner.
