I've been a fan of PDFCreator, and recommended it at every opportunity I could, until a few months ago, when the time came that I was testing IE8 beta, and it required I update it. And simply the idea of a crapware opt-out default must be changed during installation on an open source program is wrong. Open source programs are supposed to be known for integrity, forthrightness and not leading folks astray through manipulation and trickery.

These crapware installers are based on the fact that folks trust the installers and do not untick, especially when opt-out.
